Stone work at the Hilltop Quarry office

Stone work at the Hilltop Quarry office

Hilltop Quarry is nestled in the hills of rural Piermont, New Hampshire. The quarry extracts a beautiful flagstone from the natural deposits at the site.

Hilltop Quarry flagstone is primarily grey in color, with deposits of mica giving the stone a subtle luster. Occasional deposits of iron add a soft rust variation to some stones. The stone is used primarily for landscaping: in walls, patios and steps; but is also often used in fireplaces, hearths, chimneys, outdoor fire pits and fireplaces, and as flooring. Hilltop quarry flagstone has been used extensively at the ski areas at Loon Mountain, Killington, and Stowe, as well as countless private residences, and other commercial developments. The stone is favored by architects because of its beauty and adaptability to natural designs or precision cut installations; and by landscapers, masons and homeowners with a do-it-yourself project, because of its ease in handling.

Hilltop Quarry, LLC sells and delivers stone throughout New Hampshire and Vermont, and stone may be picked up at the quarry. In the process of extracting the flagstone, other rock formations are excavated, and interesting boulders, including quartz boulders, are available for sale.

Hilltop Quarry, LLC is a family run business, founded by Brad Simpson nearly 30 years ago. After many years of installing stone projects as well as mining and selling the stone, Hilltop Quarry, LLC now concentrates on the mining and selling, but can refer non-professional customers to landscapers and masons in many areas of New Hampshire and Vermont, and can provide advice on installations. A visit to the quarry office will enable customers to see the stone in various uses.
